FAQ's
(Frequently Asked Questions)
FAQ: Is hiring a Personal Chef expensive?
Answer: No. When you figure out how much time you spend on making grocery lists,
driving to the store, finding all the groceries you want and need, standing in line to pay for them, carting them home and then finally
having to prepare the food.... whew!! How would you rather be spending that time, and isn't it worth it to save all that hassle?
Besides, you can relax and enjoy dinner just the way you like it!
FAQ: Can you deliver the food to me?
Answer: Not at this
time. In fact, right now the laws in Ohio require a Personal Chef to prepare the food in your kitchen, not ours. BUT - Thyme
Savors Chef is working on this, so keep watching for the announcement!
FAQ: Are we eating frozen foods?
Answer:
If you want us to freeze the food after preparation, we will package it for freezer storage. Otherwise, it's simply packaged to your
specifications. If you want us to use your containers, we'll be glad to! We can also provide (for a small fee) reusable containers
to hold your meals ready for reheating. On "Cooking Day", we can also leave a hot meal ready and waiting for you in the Crock-Pot!
The
foods prepared are from the freshest available. Due to our limitations of certain products depending on the season, however, we may
need to rely on the best-quality frozen foods for some dishes. We will try to use as much local produce as possible, even driving
to markets in the surrounding areas, to offer the best available!
FAQ: Who cleans my kitchen?
Answer: Chef Cary
requires a fairly clean kitchen to work in - just as you'd prefer if having to work in someone else's home. It does NOT need to be
'spotless'. We will be sure, though, to leave it in the same - if not better - condition when we leave!
FAQ: Do I have
to purchase a certain amount of meals?
Answer: At this time we are offering a daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly service, depending
on what your needs are. You may choose the frequency. Some prefer to have 'leftovers', while others would rather have half their
meals frozen to reheat at a later date. it's all up to you!
